i found the which worked when i typed it in. then, when i put in the couple i longed for to entrance it incited out to be blocked, even yet i was regulating the proxy?
If i’m understanding your question, you’re at work, you couldnt get to a specific website, so you tried using a proxy and it worked. now for some reason the proxy doesnt work.
Your IT guys are most likely using a software package like Websense to do their blocking.
Those packages aren’t one-time purchases. You’re IT guys pay for a subscription to the service too, so that more websites are added/categorized.
Once websense (or whatever package) finds out about your proxy, it gets added to the list, and its blocked too. You’ll have to set up your own proxy to get around this, not use one of the widely available public proxies.
here is a list of sites, they each operate a unique IP address, and each have a valid SSL certificate for browsing with a https:// address (https addresses are not blocked as often as http addresses)
these all work with popular profile and video websites as well
Your probably got something like 8e6 proxy blocker. Its designed to block once you hit "surf" or whatever…except it works by using pattern recognition.. I assume by HTTP headers. You probably used PHProxy version . Find a GLYPE one like this and see it works
In computer networks, a proxy server is a server (a computer system or an application program) which services the requests of its clients by forwarding requests to other servers. A client connects to the proxy server, requesting some service, such as a file, connection, web page, or other resource, available from a different server. The proxy server provides the resource by connecting to the specified server and requesting the service on behalf of the client. A proxy server may optionally alter the client’s request or the server’s response, and sometimes it may serve the request without contacting the specified server. In this case, it would ‘cache’ the first request to the remote server, so it could save the information for later, and make everything as fast as possible.
2. Types of proxy servers
• Caching proxy servers
• Web proxy
• Content Filtering Web Proxy
• Anonymizing proxy servers
• Hostile proxy
• intercepting proxy servers
• Transparent and non-transparent proxy server
• Forced proxy
• Open proxy server
• Reverse proxy server
3. Functions of proxy servers
3.1 Caching proxy server
A proxy server can service requests without contacting the specified server, by retrieving content saved from a previous request, made by the same client or even other clients. This is called caching. Caching proxies keep local copies of frequently requested resources, allowing large organizations to significantly reduce their upstream bandwidth usage and cost, while significantly increasing performance. There are well-defined rules for caching. Some poorly-implemented caching proxies have had downsides (e.g., an inability to use user authentication).
3.2 Web proxy
A proxy that focuses on WWW traffic is called a "web proxy". The most common use of a web proxy is to serve as a web cache. Most proxy programs (e.g. Squid, Net Cache) provide a means to deny access to certain URLs in a blacklist, thus providing content filtering. This is usually used in a corporate environment, though with the increasing use of Linux in small businesses and homes, this function is no longer confined to large corporations. Some web proxies reformat web pages for a specific purpose or audience (e.g., cell phones and PDAs).
